AKR Express Parcel Service Pvt. Ltd. (founded late 1990s; head office in Salem, Tamil Nadu) runs an express parcel and surface network across South India and selected other cities. Use this page when you have a booking receipt, SMS, or invoice and want a straightforward path to status, customer care, or branch contacts.

Have the number ready before you search — no spaces or extra symbols. If tracking fails, double-check the characters on the receipt, then try the official site, SMS tracking (if you use the carrier’s published SMS format), or call customer care / the booking branch.

AKR Express tracking troubleshooting (common gotchas)

Getting “LR number not found”, no SMS, or an “arrived” status with nobody at the door? These AKR-specific quirks cause most of the confusion. Easy Trackings will not invent scan lines for you. When you need AKR’s own record, use the official tracker or SMS tracking with the same LR.

1. Office delivery vs door delivery: “arrived” may mean it is waiting at the AKR office

AKR offers two delivery options, and the choice is made at the time of booking:

• Office delivery: the receiver collects the goods from the destination AKR office. Tracking can show the LR as arrived or ready at that station, and it will sit there until someone collects it.
• Door delivery: AKR delivers to the address. This must be requested from the booking clerk when the parcel is booked.

If the status shows arrived at your station but nobody has come, call the destination station with the LR. It may be booked for office delivery. AKR says office delivery can be converted to door delivery at the time of delivery, so ask about this, and about any charge, when you call. Carry the LR details and ID when you collect.

2. Use the LR number, not the sender’s bill or invoice number

AKR’s official tracker only searches LR numbers. If it says “LR number not found. Please verify and try again”, check that you are not using the sender’s invoice, bill or order number.

• Copy the LR exactly as printed, including any letter prefix, with no spaces.
• Bookings made today may not show until the branch updates its system. Try again later the same day.

3. Low data or no SMS? Track by SMS, and know why alerts may be missing

• SMS tracking (official): send AKR LRnumber to 93554 92200 (for example AKR, a space, then your LR). AKR recommends this in areas with weak data coverage.
• No booking or delivery SMS? AKR sends automatic SMS alerts only if the sender’s and receiver’s mobile numbers were given at booking. A missing SMS does not mean the parcel was not booked.

4. Honest handoff and AKR contacts

• Why is status stuck on “booked”? Often the parcel has not been scanned out of origin yet, or weekend/holiday cutoffs apply. Confirm with the booking branch.
• Why does Easy Trackings differ from the official site? Aggregators and carrier systems update on different schedules. Prefer the official tracker for disputes and POD.
• No status at all? Wrong LR, wrong courier, or a booking not yet in the network. Recheck the receipt and try the official site.
• Can I track AKR Express without internet? Yes. AKR’s official SMS tracking works by sending AKR LRnumber to 93554 92200. It is useful where mobile data is weak.
• Why didn’t I get an SMS from AKR? AKR sends booking and delivery SMS alerts only when the sender’s and receiver’s mobile numbers are given at booking. Ask the sender to confirm which number was used.
• My AKR LR shows it has arrived, but nobody delivered it. Why? It may be booked for office delivery, which means collection from the destination AKR office. Call that station with the LR. AKR says office delivery can be converted to door delivery at the time of delivery.
• The receiver has to pay. Is that normal? Yes, for “To Pay” bookings, where the receiver pays the freight at delivery. Pay only at the AKR station or to AKR delivery staff against your LR, never through a link or an unknown number.

Where to find your AKR Express LR number

• On the booking receipt / docket: Usually printed near the barcode or as “LR” / “Lorry Receipt.” That ID is what you enter to track.
• SMS / WhatsApp / email: From the booking branch or sender; copy the LR exactly (including any letter prefix if present).
• Sender invoice or packing list: Corporate and contract bookings often list the LR next to the destination.
• Format tip: Enter without spaces or extra symbols. Follow the printed ID — do not invent a format.
• Lost the number? Contact customer care or the origin branch (see the branch table on this page) with sender name, destination, booking date, and approximate weight.
• Wrong courier? If the receipt says ST, DTDC, Professional, Shree Anjani, or another brand, use that courier’s page instead of AKR.

AKR Express delivery time on popular routes (indicative)

Indicative only, not a guarantee. AKR says it offers next-day delivery across most of its stations and asks you to confirm at booking. It does not publish a route-by-route table. The ranges below are Easy Trackings’ rough estimates, counted from the day after booking. Confirm with the booking station before you rely on a date.

Not an ETA for your shipment. Office delivery is ready for collection at the destination station; door delivery can take longer. Booking after the station cutoff, holidays or a remote station can add a day. For a firm commitment, ask the booking station or AKR care (0427 222 5555).
